Best Time to go on the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek
March to June and September to December is the best time to go Langtang Valley Trek. During this time the region presents captivating views of the mountain landscapes and trail also become extremely beautiful. The climate is cold, moderate, and pleasant, which makes the trip even more joyful.
Your trek begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi. Upon reaching Syabru Bensi, you will begin trekking through a forested trail, small settlements along with fantastic landscape and stunning snow-capped mountains. Passing by Sherpa Gaon, Lama Hotel, and Ghoda Tabela has the best views and you will arrive at the picturesque Langtang village. You can explore the monastery too. Further, you will continue your trek all the way up to the Gosaikunda Lake en route visiting Kyanjin Gompa and trek down to Dhunche to drive back to Kathmandu.
Food, and Accommodation during Langtang Gosaikunda Trek
You will stay in 2 or 3 stars hotel in Kathmandu. You will only get breakfast in Kathmandu. There will also be welcome and farewell dinner in Kathmandu. There are tea house along the Langtang Valley Trek, not need tents and mattresses. Please retain that the guesthouse rooms will be medium with little furniture and a blanket. While on the langtang trek the food will be served according to the menu of the guesthouse.
Similarly, drinking water is easily available everywhere. You can carry reusable water bottle and water purification tablets to double check the quality of waters. We highly encourage you not to buy water bottle during the trip as it helps in preservation of the region.
Is the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek difficult?
Langtang Valley Trek is a moderate journey yet few parts of the trail might get challenging. You don't need to have prior trekking experience to do this trek. However, every day you have to trek for around 5 to 6 hours, which does require good physical fitness, determination, and ample stamina.
